Our door had a momma ghost and three baby ghost, which were all made out of either trash bags or plastic bags! I felt very crafty when I was making these! The joke we used for these characters was, "What did the mother ghost say to her children? Don't SPOOK unless SPOOKEN to!"
Here is another one of our windows that we decided to use another joke and picture to make the window more entertaining! This joke says, "Why don't angry witches ride their brooms? They're afraid of flying off the handle!" One reason why we made our decorations out of construction paper and trash bags was because we did not have a lot of money to spend, so we were able to make due with what we had! I think everything came out great!
Tyler and I were invited by one of our friends from the ward to a Halloween party! We had fun hanging out with our friends! We decided to dress up as Tongan missionaries, with Tongan copies of the Book of Mormon and all! Tyler had gotten the Tupeni's and Ta'uvala's from one of his companions on his mission, so we decided to put them to good use! We only spent like $3 on our costumes which was another bonus!

This was one of my favorite decorations to work on! We had bought a plastic pumpkin for decoration, but we were bummed that we could not carve it, so we made due with what we could do! I decided to make a Pumpkin-Stein (And yes, I know I spelt it wrong, I was in a hurry to get it done before the judges came by!) He is such a cutie, and I love having him outside our apartment to scare away all of the Goblins!!
What type of Halloween would it be without Caramel Apples! A lady from work made these type of caramel apples for our Halloween party, and I just LOVED them, so I made them for our us! They were sooo yummy!
This is another picture of Tyler and I at the party! Won't we be such a cute Elderly missionary couple! ;)
Here is most of the people who were at the party! We love our ward and all of the WONDERFUL people we get to associate with!
Autumn is such a BEAUTIFUL time of year here in Idaho! We love all of the vibrant colors of the leaves that are around us and the crisp fall air (a little too crisp sometimes!)! I think I like this time most because it reminds me of what a beautiful world our Heavenly Father has created for us! Although our beautiful earth will be COVERED with snow for the next six months, it is still such a wonderful blessing!
We hope each of you have a HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!
Your Halloween decorations are AWE-some, Kacey! Way to go! And I love your Tonga missionary costumes. Too funny! Love ya.
ReplyDeletePumkin-Stein is NOT a misspelling! Just tell people it's "cutsey-spelling." Tell them it's the latest Internet meme and they'll feel behind the times.
