For the past nine months Tyler and I have been serving as Sunday school teachers. We have had a fun time studying the Old Testament together. As a kid I would LOVE learning with FLANNEL BOARD lessons, and ever since we started teaching I have wanted to use a flannel board for one of our lessons! For our lesson this week we were learning about the life and trials of Jonah, and what better way to depict the story of Jonah then on a flannel board!! Because I procrastinated planning our lesson until Saturday night, I was unable to find a flannel board to use, so I improvised! With construction paper I was able to create the story of Jonah! It took me a couple of hours, but it was totally worth it when I heard the giggles from our class when the saw all the pictures!

Here is my Jonah pictures! The word bubbles of the sailors say, "Get off the boat SINNER." and the whale says, "YUMMY!" and Jonah in the whale is saying, "Help Me!".
Tyler's favorite was the repentant people of Nineveh who are clothed in sackcloth and are covered in ash. I used my eyeliner to make the ash, but now I have to go get new eyeliner!
